Semlm pergi Pasar Ramadhan at USJ. It was jam packed with people. First day puasa la katakan. Semua org nak satisfy their craving for murtabak, ayam percik, nasi kerabu, soto.. (sorry Idlan, dont mean to tempt u..:D). But the thing is, we have these food all year round. Maybe we all just seronok berasak-asak and get into the spirit of berbuka. I didnt really have anything in mind when I went there yesterday. Just bought keropok leko and apam balik (mengidam sejak kat UK ni). My sister bought keropok leko also (this is what happens when you split up... you end up buying the same stuffs). I had fun watching everyone hustling and bustling about. The vendors tak menang tangan but they seemed so happy sbb customers were hovering about like vultures. It's good to be in Malaysia amidst this chaos di bulan puasa. I feel so at home.

Classes will start in 2 weeks time. So I'd better get cracking... later.

Tomorrow is a holiday...yay!!! Saturday is a working day... "#&!!%(tooot)*!@!!!

Going back to Penang after work on Saturday (yeah right, sure blah awal punyer...cukup syarat clock in). Will be meeting Nurul and Jeremy on Friday. Haven't seen them since I came back. My stuffs that were shipped a month ago are due to arrive next week. Kinda surprised because didn't expect them to arrive so soon. So gotta go back to Penang (again) next Friday to drive the pickup to KL. And then transport my 5 gigantic boxes back to Penang. Lots of the stuffs are my mom's anyway. She bought a lot of Royal Albert when she visited. I bought lots of books... just love books. Didn't buy any tableware for myself. Plan to buy stuffs like that with my future hubby (whenever that will be...). First... need to find future hubby. :P Then we talk about finding dishes!!! hehehhe..

I was introduced at a 'majlis' in my faculty last yesterday. The Dean introduced me and then asked me if I still recognized some of the lecturers because there are many new faces. And then... she pointed to a table and said "There.. do you recognize them? They are all the bachelors in our faculty". And with that everyone laughed and teased me. I felt like my face was on fire. What does someone say to that?? But I kept my cool and just smiled and laughed along. Oh well...

Nanie's birthday is this coming Monday. She called me to tell me that she will be in Penang this weekend. I nearly forgot her birthday. What is it with me and dates? It's like I'm a guy or something (no offense guys..hihih) but I just cant seem to remember important dates. I think I should start keying in reminders in my handphone.

Anyway.. to those celebrating Deepavali.... Happy Deepavali (or Diwali... when and why did they change this?). To those who will be facing the fasting month, Selamat Berpuasa. Banyakkan ibadat. I need to remind myself:-

1- To hold my tongue
2- To keep unnecessary opinions to myself
3- To not buy juadah berbuka based on its color (colorful cakes doesnt guarantee its taste), presentation and number of people swarming a stall (their taste may not be mine).
4- To not cook for 5 when the people are less than that.
5- To solat before stuffing myself silly at the table.
6- To not call my mom everyday only to find out what she cooked and then feel sorry for myself sbb tak dpt makan her cooking.
7- To not let road bullies annoy me hence I would not need to swear, ermm.. call them a cow.. be frustrated with KL traffic.. *eyes rolling*
8- To make this Ramadhan a rewarding, beneficial and a beautiful experience. :)

Selamat Berpuasa once again. Enjoy Ramadhan people. It comes once a year... I can't wait. :D

OMG....I forgot Pae's Birthday!!!

I didnt actually forget but I just wasnt sure when it was. hihihih. I knew it was in October but I just couldnt seem to remember the exact date. So I had this so called great plan.. asked Asmadi to call her up an pretend to need her IC number to enter her in a fictitious contest. But when he found out that her Birthday was like last week, he blew our cover and fessed up (typical him..:P). She wasnt too happy about it. In my defense, I did call her up on her birthday.. I just didnt wish her. But I was sending her good thoughts on that day..hehehhehe...

Anyway, I had a cool weekend. Watched England V Turkey on Saturday night. Dont have Astro at home (bill tertunggak.. *blush*) and had to find some other means of watching the game. Since my guy friends mostly tak minat bola and those who do weren't within reach...decided to drag my sister along to temankan me tgk the game at Sunway (mamak stall). Malu la jugak because mostly (if not all) were guys. They were giving me this look that said "Apahal lak minah2 ni malam2 buta dtg sini ni?". And my sister's constant "apa jadi?", "ganasnye" and "kenapa mcm tu?" didnt help us blend in the crowd. When Beckham did a header and the ball went into the net (but unfortunately Dyer was offside) my sister asked me "Masuk ke tadi? I was watching the digital banner at the background. Cool giler..!" My sister ni, ish ish ish... kelakar gile. But I'm glad she went with me eventhough she knows zilch about football. She is a pro at baseball though because she studied in Canada.

Well, Im at the office now. Will meet Wanie for lunch. Maybe Amad will join us. Pagi2 Isnin ni otak rasa jam. Teringat Asmadi singing "Just another manic Monday... "

I think I got hit by the worst jet-lag syndrome ever. Have been pushing myself for 2 weeks, thought that I'd be ok. And then, yesterday, I was down with fever. Went to the office and slept from 10 till 2. Sakit pinggang weh tidur kat kerusi. And then I went to my sister's house to sleep. Slept till 5. Bangun kejap and then resumed my sleep. Slept till 7.30. Went home and slept sampai pagi ni. That is a whole lot of sleeping. So, now I am feeling a lot better.

For the past 2 weeks, I havent done much. Am supposed to teach Audio Synthesis, Web Programming and Multimedia Project Management. Haven't started to do the notes or slides yet. Have less than a month to prepare for those subjects. Dah la I'm not good at any of those...have to teach people now some more.. how like that ahh??

I love Malaysia, all my loved ones are here. But after a year of a calm and serene life in UK, I dont think I am made for the hectic life of KL. Even driving around in KL can give you high blood pressure. I always have to check myself and bite my tongue everytime I feel like swearing when I drive. But, sooner or later I'm sure I'll blow and mengamuk on the road. Sabar je la..

What is it with Malaysian drivers? Why are they in such a rush to get places? And the nerve... when they see someone is about to turn into their road, they speed up so that the person has to wait. Mcm la just another car cutting in front of them is going to make a difference pun. Ok...ok...sabar masi.. let's not get excited. My heart cant take it.. :P

I'm back. Havent had the time to even breathe since I came back... penat wehh. So, in short..

27/9: 4pm Touchdown Malaysia airport
28/9: 4am Arrive in Penang after a small get together in KL, 6pm Drove back to KL
29/9: Report duty... first day at work rasa mcm first day masuk sekolah pulak.. :P
30/9: Not assigned room yet so became a squatter.
1/10: Got room...got room...
2/10: After office, went back to Penang.
3/10: On leave today. Went to phuket with family. 12 hr journey by car. Jet lag still belum pulih... *sigh*
4/10: Phuket... heheheh... *wink*
5/10: Drove back to Penang.
6/10: Mintak cuti lagi... Penang banjir...
7/10: Drove back to KL lepas Subuh. Masuk office at 10. Got new PC in office. Hehehhe...so right now trying out PC.

Well.. a week or so has passed. Still tak sempat nak recuperate from my filght hari tu. Never had the time nak overcome jetlag.. Kinda miss Bath.. had an easy life there. Bila time study dulu.. sibuk nak cepat habis because nak kerja. Now bila dah kerja pulak, rasa rindu nak study balik. Anyway, scary jugak bila dah start kerja ni. Respek la org yg dah kerja lama. I baru nak join the working force..

Hmm, baru perasan I'm typing in dwi bahasa. Maybe I'll switch to a Bahasa Melayu blog nanti2. Teruk betul la tulis campur2 ni... merosakkan bahasa betul.

To those out there... u guys can now venture to my blog again because I'd be updating it on a regular basis. (Insyaallah). So, hang in there people... Marssey is back and here to stay...*grin*.
